Story Massage
Silver Birch Holistic Therapies will be providing some Story Massage sessions in the children’s area. Story massage uses 10 easy to follow massage strokes such as the circle or the sprinkle alongside spoken words to tell a story. The strokes are used on the shoulders, back, arms and head, there is no need for oil and the children do not remove any clothes. The children are always asked whether they would like a story massage and thanked at the end of the story. If you would like to find out more check out the story massage website at http://www.storymassage.co.uk
Story Massage can be shared as a child to child or parent to child activity. There will be a session for parents with babies or toddlers and one for older children, working with another child or their parent. Once I have told some stories, everyone will get a chance to make up their own very simple story using massage symbol stickers and blank story sheets.
